During the Xbox Games Showcase, Black Ops 6 was officially announced. It was reported that the game will have a unique combination of new and old gameplay, featuring the reintroduction of cherished elements such as the famous Prestige as well as revolutionary features like Omnimovement. While the reintroduction of split-screen in BO6 may excite fans, there are certain negatives.

Black Ops 6’s Split-Screen Option Might Disappoint Players
Another disadvantage is that the two-player split-screen capability is only compatible with current-generation consoles, namely the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. This is quite disappointing for previous generation console gamers who were looking forward to the game’s arrival on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Activision argues that split-screen gaming on prior generation consoles is not permitted due to performance concerns. Although it is unknown at this moment if PC gamers will have split-screen support, it is apparent that many of them feel it would be amazing if they could.
The reveal trailer and details made public following the Xbox event indicate that Treyarch and Raven have been working frantically on the gameplay features and systems of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which has been in development for some time. Compared to previous games, Black Ops 6 will feature dramatically altered mobility due to the addition of omnidirectional movement, a new and customizable HUD, and a conventional Prestiging system.
